This client-facing delivery role designs, builds, and implements secure, scalable, and well-governed Microsoft Azure solutions. The engineer will translate business and technical requirements into production-ready Azure architectures, landing zones, infrastructure code, and deployment pipelines aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Well-Architected Framework.\nThe ideal candidate combines hands-on Azure engineering expertise with consulting discipline. This role leads technical workstreams across new Azure deployments, cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and platform engineering engagements, partnering with client stakeholders, solution architects, security teams, application owners, and project managers from discovery through handoff.\nKey Responsibilities\nClient Discovery, Architecture & Design\nLead technical discovery workshops to assess client requirements, constraints, dependencies, risks, and target outcomes. \nDevelop high-level and detailed Azure solution designs, implementation plans, architecture diagrams, bills of materials, and technical decisions. \nDesign Azure landing zones and platform foundations aligned with CAF enterprise-scale principles, including management groups, subscriptions, identity, networking, governance, security, monitoring, and operational readiness. \nProvide design guidance across Azure IaaS, PaaS, containers, data, identity, networking, security, resiliency, and business continuity services. \nPresent solution options, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to technical and executive client stakeholders. \nAzure Build & Implementation\nBuild and configure Azure environments for client projects, including subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, private connectivity, compute, storage, AKS, App Services, databases, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities. \nImplement secure hybrid connectivity using VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, Private Link, DNS, NSGs, and routing controls. \nConfigure Microsoft Entra ID integration, managed identities, RBAC, privileged access, Conditional Access dependencies, and workload identity patterns. \nImplement Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, logging, monitoring, alerting, tagging, budgets, and governance controls as part of the platform build. \nValidate solutions through functional, security, performance, failover, and operational-readiness testing. \nInfrastructure as Code & DevOps Pipelines\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep; support ARM templates where required. \nCreate modular, version-controlled code with environment configuration, state management, secrets handling, policy checks, documentation, and automated testing. \nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions for infrastructure validation, security scanning, approvals, deployment, and promotion across environments. \nAutomate Azure deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, REST APIs, and scripting. \nEstablish source-control, branching, pull-request, release, and code-review practices suitable for client delivery. \nCloud Migration & Modernization\nAssess and migrate workloads from on-premises data centers and other cloud platforms to Azure. \nPlan and execute discovery, dependency mapping, readiness assessment, migration-wave planning, landing-zone readiness, cutover, validation, and stabilization activities. \nUse appropriate Azure migration tooling and patterns for servers, databases, storage, applications, identity, and network connectivity. \nRecommend rehost, replatform, refactor, replace, retain, or retire strategies based on business value, technical fit, risk, cost, and timeline. \nDesign rollback, coexistence, data-protection, business-continuity, and disaster-recovery approaches for migration events. \nProject Delivery & Client Handoff\nOwn assigned technical workstreams, estimates, delivery milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and status updates. \nCollaborate with project managers and architects to deliver agreed scope, quality, schedule, and acceptance criteria. \nProduce professional client deliverables including as-built documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration records, code repositories, pipeline documentation, test evidence, and operational runbooks. \nConduct knowledge-transfer sessions and provide a structured transition to client operations or managed services teams. \nSupport presales discovery, solution validation, effort estimation, and statements of work when requested. \nEnsure implemented solutions meet security, compliance, supportability, cost-management, and operational-readiness expectations. \nRequirements\n6+ years of hands-on Azure infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cloud consulting experience. \n3+ years designing and delivering Azure projects in a professional services, consulting, systems integration, or project-based client environment. \nDemonstrated experience designing and building Azure landing zones and workloads using Infrastructure as Code. \nDemonstrated experience creating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments. \nHands-on experience migrating workloads from on-premises environments and/or another public cloud to Azure. \nExperience leading technical client workshops, documenting requirements, presenting designs, and managing delivery commitments. \nExperience delivering production Azure environments with security, governance, monitoring, resiliency, and operational handoff
