This role is responsible for executing project-based work from design through deployment, ensuring solutions are implemented efficiently, securely, and in alignment with client expectations.\nYou’ll work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support a wide range of infrastructure and cloud initiatives, while also serving as a technical resource for clients throughout the project lifecycle. This includes building and deploying solutions, documenting configurations, supporting end users, and ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing support.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys project-based work, takes ownership of outcomes, and thrives in dynamic MSP environments where no two projects are the same.\nRemote (U.S) | Exempt | Reports to Manager, Project Engineering\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPlan and execute Exchange Server to Exchange Online migrations.\nPerform Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.\nMigrate Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.\nConfigure and operate Quest On Demand Migration, AvePoint Fly or comparable tools.\nMigrate file shares to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Egnyte, Box or similar platforms.\nSupport Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, authentication and mail flow dependencies.\nPerform discovery, pilot migrations, delta sync, cutovers and post-migration validation.\nTroubleshoot migration errors, identity conflicts, permissions and endpoint transition issues.\nDocument exceptions, outcomes and technical handoffs.\nWhat You Bring to the Table:\nPrimary technical expertise - hands-on experience required\nMicrosoft 365 and Exchange Online administration\nExchange Server and Microsoft 365 tenant migrations\nSharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams migrations\nEntra ID, Active Directory integration and permissions\nMigration planning, cutovers and troubleshooting\nHands-on experience with Quest On Demand Migration, AvePoint Fly, BitTitan or ShareGate (Quest/AvePoint particularly valued)\nAdjacent technology knowledge - working familiarity expected\nWindows Server, DNS and firewall connectivity\nMicrosoft Intune and endpoint enrollment\nAzure fundamentals and hybrid identity\nVMware vSphere, Hyper-V and cloud file platforms\nExperience and qualifications\n5+ years of relevant IT experience with substantial M365 administration or migration delivery.\nDemonstrated production email or data migration projects.\nCross-Functional Technical Expectations\nEngineers are hired for demonstrated expertise in a primary specialty, not mastery of every platform.\nMaintain foundational understanding of adjacent networking, cloud, infrastructure, security and identity technologies.\nUnderstand dependencies, collaborate across disciplines and contribute outside the primary specialty when appropriate.\nProject Delivery Expectations\nOwn assigned technical tasks from planning through completion.\nCoordinate with Project Managers on approved scope, budgets, schedules and risks.\nMaintain accurate time entries, project updates and technical documentation.\nSupport cutovers, validation, post-implementation support and handoff to operations.\nMaintain billable utilization consistent with departmental expectations.\n\nTravel and Work Requirements:\nAbility to travel for project work at least once a month.\nAble to regularly work nights and weekends to perform off-hours upgrades and migrations\nWhat We Bring to the Table:\nSalary Range\nThe reasonably expected annual compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000.
