This team ensures the stability, security, and scalability of our physical assets, working hands-on in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. You will join a collaborative and curious group that is essential to delivering a best-in-class experience for our clients.\nAbout the role:\nThe Data Center Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and may include participation in an on-call rotation. This is a salaried, 100% onsite role at one of our Data Center locations.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nMaintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.\nConduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.\nRoot cause analysis of hardware and software failures.\nTraining of internal teams.\nDevelopment of documentation.\nProvide technical support to data center teams.\nDevelopment of scripts to update the server and networking hardware.\nMaintain inventory.\nAssemble and install equipment.\nPerform maintenance of test and tool equipment.\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.\nEssential duties include the ability to respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.\nWho You Are:\nComputer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)\nLinux Operating System experience.\nAbility to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.\nAbility to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.\nAbility to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables.\nAvailability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift.\nExcellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.\nMust be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.\nWork is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.
