As a Cook, you'll play a vital role in the preparation and execution of hot and cold meals in our restaurants, room service, and grab & go markets. From line cooking and prep cooking to vegetable prep, short order cooking, catering, and mise en place, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and make a positive impact on those we serve every day.\nEssential Functions\nPerforms hot food preparation including frying, baking, broiling, braising and grilling. Prepares soups, cereals, eggs, entrees, vegetables, and other food items as necessary. Monitors food quantity needs as customer counts or volumes vary.\nAssembles and prepares ingredients for cooking by cleaning and cutting.\nFollows standardized recipes, calculating ingredients based on weight and volume.\nMonitors food quality, assesses food presentation in regards to taste, texture and eye appeal and maintains food temperatures.\nRecords temperatures correctly on temperature log sheets. Takes responsibility to replace food items that do not fit our standards.\nStores food items as required, labeling and dating items per standards.
