Ensures that all plumbing work complies with applicable codes and standards, as well as obtaining proper permits as required. Carries out other duties as assigned.\nEssential Functions\nInspects sites and plans jobs, material procurement, install, repair, replacement or modification, for commercial plumbing systems or other specialty systems.\n\nTroubleshoot and analyze faulty systems/plumbing components, and repair or replace as necessary.\n\nPerforms Preventative Maintenance on all plumbing systems.\n\nRead and interpret blueprints or other mechanical drawings to determine materials needed and job procedures for a project, also determine if special tools or equipment required.\n\nPrioritizes work load and responds to all emergency plumbing calls.\n\nCompletes daily activity paperwork as well as tracks time and material, for projects or work orders.\n\nField checks construction projects to ensure that work performed is installed per design and meets proper code requirements as well as Corewell Health standards.\n\nAssists contractors and construction plumbers with system shutdowns.\n\nKnows the appropriate use of hand and power tools that are used in the plumbing trade.\n\nFollows safe work practices and prevents working in unsafe work conditions.\n\nMust be eligible for overtime status.
