Tackle the following responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop competitive fee structures reflecting defined scope of services for project pursuits\nEstablish and manage project schedules\nOversee the completion of projects on time and within fee budget\nAnticipate, understand and manage client expectations\nProvide leadership to staff by identifying project studio team members’ roles and responsibilities, leveraging their strengths, providing stretch opportunities, and offering mentorship\nLead and encourage open dialogue with project team regarding design and technical ideation and facilitate appropriate solutions\nMotivate the project team to meet project goals through encouragement and/or course correction\nOversee administration of construction phase procedures and documentation (shop drawings/submittals, requests for information, and addenda/clarifications)\nOversee development and presentation of appropriate technical solutions to project stakeholders\nDrive the coordination of internal staff, external consultants and other stakeholders to achieve a cohesive and collaborative project team.\nAttend and conduct presentations\nActively explore and recognize new business opportunities through professional networks\nDrive each project team to seek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity, continuous improvement, and increased project performance\nDevelop effective project directives, outlines, projections, schedules, and strategies over the course of the project\nOversee development and communication of appropriate project phasing\nManage all facets of project production resulting in a thorough set of documents\nIdentify solutions and effectively resolve technical challenges\nUnderstand and apply appropriate industry standards and construction practices\nOversees, and is responsible for, the identification, understanding and documentation of regulatory agencies’ requirements, as well as recognizing and resolving code-related design issues\nOversee quality assurance processes and quality control of project documents\nDemonstrate, share, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products\nMaintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products\nAttend and conduct presentations\nManage client relations\nProvide leadership to staff\nQualifications\nEducation:A CACB professional accredited degree in Architecture\n\nCertification:OAA Registration\nLEED accreditation strongly preferred\n\nExperience:10+ years of experience in commercial architecture, ideally with Data Center experience\nExperience managing teams on complex projects\nExperience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration and consultant coordination\nProficiency or experience with managing overall project feed and schedules\nExperience in successful client delivery that leads to repeat work or new business opportunities\n\nKnowledgeRevit proficiency strongly preferred; experience with other 3D Software is a plus\nThorough understanding of how a drawing set goes together\nStrong knowledge and understanding of Canadian building codes and regulations with proficiency and expertise in the full range of architectural building systems \nAbility to share credible high-level guidance to project teams throughout all project phases \nAcumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budget\n\nProfileStrong attention to detail and analytical skills\nFlexible attitude and ability to juggle multiple priorities is essential\nHigh commitment to QA/QC\nAbility to lead and collaborate in a diverse project team environment\nExhibit strong marketing and client relations experience and capabilities\n\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.
