We're looking for an Investigation & Development Engineer to join our Technology R&D team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our technology products.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, investigating product performance, and working across multidisciplinary teams. You'll split your time between customer complaint investigations and sustaining engineering activities, helping to ensure our products continue to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nPerform initial technical triage of customer-reported product issues in collaboration with Customer Service, Vigilance, Product Management and other stakeholders\nLead and document technical investigations to determine root cause of product issues\nAnalyse data, system logs and product performance trends to support investigations\nManage complaint investigations through to resolution in a timely manner\nSupport sustaining engineering activities for released technology products\nPlan and execute verification and validation testing activities\nContribute to risk management and design control activities\nMaintain and update technical documentation, including DHF and DMR records\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Sales, Marketing and Quality\nStay informed on developments in orthopaedics, robotics and related technologies\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, such as:\nBiomedical Engineering\nMechanical Engineering\nElectrical or Electronic Engineering\nMechatronics\nComputer Science\n\nRelated discipline\nExperience working within a regulated engineering environment\nExposure to technical investigations, root cause analysis or complaint handling\nExperience analysing technical data, trends or log files\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent attention to detail and documentation skills\nAbility to work effectively across cross-functional teams\n\nDesirable\nExperience within the medical device industry\nExposure to orthopaedics, robotics or surgical technologies\nKnowledge of electro-mechanical systems involving software, electrical and mechanical components\nUnderstanding of design controls, risk management, verification and validation activities\nFamiliarity with quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices\nExposure to project management, clinical evaluations or post-market surveillance activities\n\nWhy Join Us?\nOpportunity to work in a highly regulated and quality-driven environment.\nThe base pay range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000.
