In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products delivered by suppliers consistently meet manufacturing specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.\nWorking closely with both internal teams and external suppliers, you will drive supplier quality improvement initiatives, investigate non-conformances, support new product introductions, and ensure robust quality management processes are maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex manufacturing and supplier challenges.\nWhat you’ll do\nPartner with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that focus on defect prevention, waste reduction, variation control, and continuous improvement.\nLead supplier quality development activities to improve performance and capability.\nCollect and review root cause analyses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented to minimise production disruptions.\nManage supplier non-conformances and quality records through the Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).\nProvide technical support to suppliers and manage customer-specific quality requirements.\nEnsure supplied products consistently meet quality standards while supporting cost reduction and customer satisfaction objectives.\nIntroduce and drive supplier improvement initiatives.\nSupport new product introductions, ensuring quality robustness and supplier readiness.\nWork on complex projects and quality improvement programmes with a significant business impact.\nCollaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery requirements.\nConduct regular supplier quality review meetings and provide reports to senior management.\nDevelop, maintain, and report on supplier rating and performance management systems.\nPerform supplier audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with business and regulatory requirements.\nEnsure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 standards.\nSupport Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, ensuring timelines and process requirements are achieved in line with company procedures.\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will possess a strong quality engineering background and experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment.\nDegree in Engineering, Science, or an equivalent technical discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering position within a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.\nExperience in supplier quality management and supplier development.\nStrong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.\nExperience managing non-conformances, CAPAs, and supplier corrective actions.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nFull UK driving licence.\nAbility to conduct supplier audits and build effective working relationships with suppliers.\nDesirable\nExperience within the Medical Device industry.\nKnowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulations.\nExperience supporting new product introductions (NPI).\nMedical device technology and software experience.\nLead Auditor qualification or supplier auditing experience.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work within an innovative and highly regulated manufacturing environment.\nExposure to global suppliers and cross-functional teams.\nCareer development and progression opportunities.\nThe base pay range for this position is $87,000-102,000.
