This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong compliance mindset who enjoys ownership, technical challenge, and cross-functional collaboration.\nWhat you’ll do\nValidating equipment used in the packaging and labelling of medical devices to the required regulatory standards\nProviding technical support and coordinating packaging and labelling activities for new products, including project management of validation, transit testing and shelf-life testing\nWriting and executing validation protocols, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ) and Process Validation, with hands-on testing and coordination of activities\nCreating and maintaining medical device labels and Packaging Bills of Materials (PBOMs)\nManaging and administering the label database and label management software\nCoordinating and managing requests for PBOM-related translations, including labels and Instructions for Use (IFUs)\nOwning packaging and labelling systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhanced processes and packaging solutions\nWorking in compliance with cGMP requirements and industry best practice\nSupporting New Product Introduction (NPI/PCT) project requirements and communicating progress at team meetings\nEnsuring compliance with relevant packaging, labelling and validation standards, including:\n21 CFR 820.75\nISO 13485\nASTM standards\nISO 19227, ISO 14644, ISO 11137, ISO 11135, ISO 11607\n\nAbout You\nPractical experience within the medical device industry (preferred), with manufacturing environment experience being highly beneficial\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nThe ability to work independently with minimal supervision\nConfidence working within multi-disciplinary teams while managing multiple priorities effectively\nWhat We Offer\nA competitive salary from £30,000 - £37,000 depending on experience and a discretionary annual bonus of 7.5%\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\nExcellent pension – starts at 6%, going up to 9.7% after 18 months.\nLife assurance – Six times your basic salary\nPrivate medical insurance with BUPA for you and your family\nFree annual eye tests and flu vaccinations\nEmployee referral program where you can earn up to £1,000 for each successful hire you recommend\nOpportunity to work on regulated, high-impact medical device products\nA collaborative, quality-driven working environment\nOngoing professional development and career progression opportunities\nHow to Apply\nIf you are a detail-focused engineer with a passion for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
