Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure the highest levels of product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.\nAs a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:\nCollaborate with suppliers to develop and implement best practices focused on defect prevention, waste reduction, variation control, and continuous improvement.\nLead root cause investigations and corrective actions to minimise production disruption caused by supplier quality issues.\nManage and progress supplier non-conformances through the Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).\nProvide technical support to suppliers and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.\nEnsure supplied products consistently meet quality standards while minimising quality costs and maximising customer satisfaction.\nDrive supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.\nSupport new product introductions, ensuring product and process robustness while developing supplier capability.\nManage multiple projects and quality improvement activities, including complex assignments that directly impact business performance.\nWork closely with suppliers to ensure parts and materials meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery requirements.\nConduct regular Supplier Quality Review Meetings and present performance reports to senior management.\nDevelop, maintain, and report supplier performance metrics and rating systems.\nConduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure supplier processes meet company requirements.\nSupport compliance with ISO 13485 Quality Management System requirements, FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.\nEnsure Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities are completed within agreed timelines and in accordance with company procedures and global objectives.\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nEssential\nDegree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.\nProven experience in supplier quality management and supplier development within Medical Devices\nKnowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP, and CAPA processes.\nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nFull UK Driving Licence.\nAbility to work effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.\nDesirable\nSupplier auditing experience.\nUnderstanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused individual who can build strong supplier relationships while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
