Your work will directly contribute to the success of teaching, research, and academic programs that shape the future of our students and community.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs a Faculty Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role across several key areas:\nInstructional & Course Support:\nCollaborate with faculty to prepare and coordinate course materials, including textbooks, course packets, and online content.\nBuild and maintain Canvas course sites and support Zoom meetings/webinars.\nTrack grades and assist with course-related data and evaluations.\nCoordinate guest speakers and academic sessions, including travel, accommodations, and logistics.\nCoordinate course assistants (appointments, timecards, coordination of activities).\nSupport course operations including enrollment coordination and room assignments.\nPrepare polished course documents using tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nGeneral Office Operations:\nDeliver excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and partners.\nCoordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reimbursements using Concur.\nProcurement of supplies, subscriptions, and memberships.\nMonitor and track faculty budgets and expenses, providing timely updates.\nMaintain organized systems and databases to support departmental efficiency.\nResearch Support:\nAssist faculty and researchers with travel coordination and reimbursements.\nSupport research-related activities including journal submissions, memberships, and workshop payments.\nHelp source research documents and articles through library and academic databases.\nUpload research outputs to platforms such as SSRN.\nContribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.\nPrograms & Special Initiatives:\nPartner on immersion programs, lab activities, and field trips (domestic and international).\nCoordinate logistics with faculty and external partners.\nSupport specialized academic facilities and program initiatives.\nAdditional Contributions:\nCollaborate across teams, providing backup support when needed.\nParticipate in professional development opportunities.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.\nThis position is based in Ithaca, NY.
