We believe every building we create, and every part of that building, positively contributes to communities where people live, work and play.\n The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager leads site compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture. This role partners with site leadership to drive EHS performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement.\nThe position reports directly to the Plant Manager. It also has a dotted-line relationship to corporate EHS leadership and may support enterprise-wide initiatives and assist other locations as needed, including occasional travel.\nLead EHS programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, L&I)\nPartner with site leadership to implement and sustain safe work practices\nOversee incident reporting and investigations; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions\nDevelop and deliver EHS training to maintain compliance and build capability\nConduct inspections and audits; identify risks and ensure timely resolution\nManage compliance calendars, regulatory reporting, and agency interactions\nLead emergency response programs, including planning, training, and drills\nTrack, analyze, and report EHS metrics; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement\nManage environmental compliance activities, including permitting, reporting, and monitoring (air, water, waste)\nEnsure effective systems for SDS management, industrial hygiene, and environmental testing\nSupport sustainability initiatives and corporate EHS systems (e.g., Origami)\nPartner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, HR, Risk) on projects, inspections, and injury management\nReview capital projects, process changes, and facility modifications for EHS risks\nPerform other duties as assigned\n Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field required, or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred\n5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, including regulatory interaction\n2+ years of leadership experience\nStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, L&I and environmental regulations (air, water, waste)\nExperience with audits, incident investigations, and compliance programs\nProfessional certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to influence, collaborate, and manage multiple priorities\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS systems\nAbility to work independently and manage budgets\nLEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:\n Cornerstone Building Brands (CBB) Values and Behaviors & Mindsets - Act consistently with CBB’s Values (Safety, Integrity, & Inclusion) and Behaviors & Mindsets (Customer-Centricity, Interconnectedness, Continuous Improvement).\nAnticipation - Proactively identify and solve issues before they become problems.\nCollaboration - Highly collaborative team player.
