The ideal candidate will be familiar with duties such as monitoring purchases / shipments, verifying, reconciling and reporting on the company’s inventory, and finding new ways to meet and exceed our working capital goals. A successful inventory manager will ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives yet validate that overstocking is also not taking place. In addition to standard inventory management duties:\nThe ideal candidate should have some knowledge of sourcing (tactical or strategic). How to map a process for improvement. (An example of where this effort could be brought to bear are CI events focused on finding new ways to present material at point of use for improved efficiencies in operations.) This position is based in Ritchie County, WV.\nDevise ways to optimize inventory control procedures\nInspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages and overages\nEnsure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers\nRecord deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory\nUse software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory\nAnalyze data to anticipate future needs\nEvaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships\nCollaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met\nReport to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.\nDevising ways to optimize / present inventory and control procedures\nInspecting the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages\nEnsuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers\nRequirements and skills\nProven experience as inventory manager or similar position\nExcellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods\nDemonstrated / applied Lean skillset\nWorking knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)\nAbility to accurately track inventory and create reports\nAn analytical mind with strong math skills\nExcellent organizational and planning skills\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilities\nBS/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field\n5-7 years experience in inventory management\nRelevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus\n Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?\nOur teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
