The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations\nKnowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts\nKnows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment\nAbility to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment\nPerform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation\nMark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts\nInterpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts\nMaintains continuous improvement practices in work area\nStanding and walking 8-12 hrs. every day\nRepetitive material handling. Some in awkward body positioning.\nRepetitive climbing on and off of equipment and ladders\nVarying and extreme working conditions inside and outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)\n High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)\nA minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment\nGood Communication Skills\nBasic Computer Skills\nExperience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns\nAble to use of measuring gauges\nAble to read a tape measure\nForklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift\nCrane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane\nFlexible with working overtime and weekends when needed\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist\n Site Address: 7301 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77041\nThis is a position with the potential overtime.
