Production Associate ensures product consistency and standards including but not limited to proper counts, packing patterns, packing enclosures, and carton construction and labels. PAs pack finished products into bundles. Associate routes, cuts, sores, and boxes products in accordance with B.O.M.’s. Production Associate maintains paperwork as required. Please provide a current resume or complete work history.\nVisually inspect the extruded product for appearance and size defects according to specifications\nConduct recurrent tests/inspections of products’ functional features\nNotify appropriate personnel (Production Associate 3s and 4s, Manufacturing Shift Supervisor) of product defects\nAssemble bundles for packaging\nEnsure proper packing patterns, product counts, and package enclosures\nEnsure that all parts and pieces are in there place in all box programs\nSquare, band, heat seal and label the packed bundles\nThe associate can set up and operate Fabrication Department Equipment: Routers, CMM Gang saw, Tiger Saw, Heat tunnel, notchers, and Crimpers\nDiscard unacceptable profiles in Scrap Rack\nIdentify a product that is jammed up in the production line and assist as necessary\nIdentify that line is going down and assist as necessary\nAssist with color and product die changes\nPerform line shut down tasks\nCommunicate with previous and following shifts’ Production Associates about product quality, problems, and status of work in progress\nPerform housekeeping duties as needed\nComplete accurately and legibly all line packaging-related paperwork\nIdentify product not being routed or cut to spec in accordance with the line check sheet\nIdentify product out of spec and able to repackage in proper patterns, color, and count\nPunch time clock before and after shift to record time worked\nObserve health and safety practices when handling start-ups/shutdown strips\nPerform other related duties and assignments as required\nMaintain supplies at the workstation\nCommunicate with Material Handler(s) to move full bundles\nAssist with training of temporaries and new hires in Production Associate 1 positions\nMust be able to read draft drawings\nMust be able to read tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and radius gages\nFloat to relieve other Production Associate 1s for breaks\nAttend weekly shift meetings and monthly All Hands Forum, if required\nActively participate in all plant safety programs\nNotify Supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions\nAssist with production equipment maintenance\nIdentify and be able to lend a hand to associates in need of help\nMaintain work zones' cleanliness and safety\nWork with Production Associate 2 on optimizing workflow in the fabrication department\n 6 months or more Production/Manufacturing experience required\nMust be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require\nMust possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance\nMust be quality and safety conscious, a team player\n Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist\nMust have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods\nMust have good communication skills and be able to interact with people\nPosition requires extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking. \nPosition requires working in a non-climate-controlled facility\nPosition requires wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, use of a tape measure, sawing glove, hack saw, packing gloves, stamp and stamp pad\nSafe work performance is required from each Associate at all times\nPerform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals \nRequired to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions\nComply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations\nAdditionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily\nPlease provide a current resume or complete work history\n Address: 100 Cellwood Pl, Gaffney, SC 29340\nWhy work for Cornerstone Building Brands?\nOur teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
