This role requires advanced technical expertise in PLC-controlled systems, electrical and mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, and CAD drawing interpretation. The position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nTravel to multiple manufacturing plants to support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning\n\nTroubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems\n\nInstall, configure, and maintain PLC-based control systems, including diagnostics and minor programming adjustments\n\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and CAD drawings for troubleshooting and system modifications\n\nSupport new equipment integration, including factory acceptance, site acceptance, and production ramp-up\n\nCollaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to standardize processes and improve performance\n\nEnsure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, system changes, and equipment updates\n\nSupport capital projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives across facilities\n\n Associate degree or Technical Certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)\n\nMinimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment\n\nStrong working knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), including troubleshooting and basic programming\n\nProficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation\n\nAdvanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems\n\nDemonstrated experience in equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automated or high-speed manufacturing environments\n\nAbility to travel extensively (50-75% or as required)\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix)\n\nFamiliarity with HMI and SCADA systems\n\nExperience with automated production lines, such as roll forming, packaging, or material handling systems\n\nPLC or industrial automation certifications\n\nWelding and fabrication experience\n\nKey Competencies:\nAdvanced technical and diagnostic capability\n\nStrong attention to detail and execution discipline\n\nEffective communication across multi-site operations\n\nAbility to work independently and manage priorities across multiple locations\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills\n\nAdaptability in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments\n\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nWhy work for Cornerstone Building Brands?\nOur teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
