The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLoads and unloads product on the trailer using a packing list to verify that all parts are accounted for\nPlaces parts on the trailer in a safe hauling manner in accordance with manufacturing procedures to ensure the product does not get damaged during shipment\nKnows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment\nPackage, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading\nPackages parts using all types of crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment and for weighing trucks of items as required\nResponsible for each lift and decides when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load\nConstantly check each load being made to assure that the job is complete\nExpedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules\nAssist with inventory counts as required\nMaintains continuous improvement practices in work area\nMay be assigned other projects or duties as designated by the Team Leader\n High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)\nPrevious work experience in warehouse environment preferred\nAbility to operate forklifts, overhead crane, and other lifting equipment\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist\n Site Address: 7301 Fairview Street, Houston, TX 77041\nThis is a position with the potential overtime.
