position handles plant machine control systems and documentation, and for working with Engineering on new machine controls and standards.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nUpdate, change, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robotic programs, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control.\nDesign and develop new machine controls including robotic, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and vision systems.\nCoordinate with engineering and maintenance on existing machine control modifications to robotic, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and vision systems.\nCreate, maintain and keep current hard copies and electronic data bases: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC, operator display, operator interface, and robot programs; machine power distribution and all related vendor controls component part documentation.\nSchedule and complete backups of electronic machine control and robotic programs on set schedule\nImplement and maintain data collection system from shop floor processing equipment.\nMaintain and update controls portion of machine standards.\nParticipate in Continual Improvement activities.\nAdhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System, and company policies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. \nExperience\nBachelor’s degree in a related discipline, i.e. Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, etc., or equivalent experience and education\nElectrical controls engineering background desired.\nComplete knowledge of and ability to design and use relay logic, ladder logic, pneumatic logic and hydraulic logic\nSpecific Skills\nTroubleshooting\nCommunication Skills\nAdvance mathematical skills\nExcellent written skills\nSchematic Diagrams\nSystems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)\nMicrosoft Office ability.\nAutoCAD\nPLC & HMI\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nStand and walk for extended periods of time. \nAble to reach above head.\nSit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nLift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 80 pounds. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
