This position falls under our Cross Borders line of business and is located in Malta. In this role, you will support the Compliance Officer in overseeing regulatory compliance matters for Alpha FX Europe Limited, part of the Corpay Cross-Border division, which operates under both an Investment Services Licence and a Financial Institutions Licence issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). You will report directly to the Compliance Officer; the role will involve conducting testing under the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), providing second-line oversight of MiFID II client classification, supporting complaints handling and triage, and performing regulatory analysis. The role will also involve occasional support with regulatory reporting obligations.\nHow We Work\nAs a, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:\nAssigned workspace in Malta office\nCompany-issued equipment \nAlongside these core responsibilities, the Compliance Analyst will provide ad hoc support to the Compliance Officer and the wider Regulatory team in their day-to-day activities, including the preparation of compliance reports, maintenance of regulatory records and documentation, and any other compliance-related tasks as required.\nThe successful candidate must be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across the wider Group, apply strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, adapt to changing priorities, and quickly develop new knowledge and capabilities as required.\nRole Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities of the role will include:\nConduct compliance monitoring reviews and testing in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), identifying potential gaps and areas for improvement.\nPerform regulatory analysis, including assessing new and existing regulatory requirements and their implications for the Company's activities.\nProvide compliance support on regulatory matters relating to the onboarding of derivatives clients, including client classification under the MiFID II framework.\nSupport the handling and triage of client complaints, including reviewing complaints and assisting with their assessment and resolution.\nMaintain compliance records, monitoring documentation, issue logs and action trackers, ensuring appropriate follow-up on identified matters.\nSupport regulatory engagements, audits and assurance reviews\nProvide occasional support in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and returns to the relevant authorities.\nAssist the Compliance Officer and the wider Regulatory team with day-to-day compliance activities and other ad hoc matters as required.\nQualifications & Skills\n1 to 3 years' experience in compliance or a related role within financial services.\nExperience in payments, e-money, fintech, FX, investment services or another regulated financial services environment is strongly preferred.\nGood understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to investment firms and/or payment institutions.\nExperience in conducting compliance monitoring reviews, testing controls and identifying potential compliance gaps.\nAbility to interpret regulatory requirements and assess their implications for business activities.\nAbility to prepare clear and accurate reports, including familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and standards.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks and escalate compliance matters appropriately.\nExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nBenefits & Perks\nPrivate Health Insurance and Life Insurance for all employees from Day 1 of employment, including private hospital coverage.\nPension scheme.\nEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP).\nAnnual fitness allowance.\nSponsored learning and development.\nQuarterly Events & Celebrations.\nBrand new state-of-the-art office\nPay Transparency\nThe salary range for this position is €30,000 - €35,000 gross per year. The final offer will be determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including relevant skills, professional experience, and qualifications.
