This position is responsible for understanding all data assets and services, how they relate to each other and how data flows between systems. The data architect will provide architectural guidance and solutions to support our new business initiatives and changes to existing data models. This is mainly a remote position, but some in-office work is preferred.\nHow We Work\nAs a Data Architect - Contractor, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment.\nCorpay will set you up by providing:\nCompany-issued equipment\nRole Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities of the role will include:\nDesign, deliver and maintain data architecture with a focus on standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, and scalability Design, develop and maintain data models\nDesign and develop complex ETL jobs and data flows\nProvide guidance to the development team and contribute to new application features\nContribute to performance optimization and improve data pipelines, ETL processes, queries, analytics tools, and other data processes\nLead data migration projects\nLead archiving and warehousing initiatives\nCollaborate on data quality improvement projects\nCollaborate with security team to safeguard and secure data\nParticipate in quality assurance activities\nCreate technical documentation\nWork with engineering to install, configure, and deploy SQL Server instances and database environments\nHelp support and maintain several SQL server environments\nTroubleshooting issues and incident resolution\nMay include supervisory or mentoring responsibilities\nQualifications & Skills\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics etc.)\n10+ years in Information Technology\n7+ years of experience using SQL Server\n5+ years of database design, data modeling and ETL development\nExperience in designing SQL Server environments\nDemonstrated ability to manage and see-through long-term projects\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively\nProactive working style with the ability to adapt to change\nExcellent organizational and communication skills are required\nMust be able to work well individually without supervision as well as part of a team\nAbout Corpay\nAbout Corpay\nCorpay is a global technology organization that is leading the future of commercial payments with a culture of innovation that drives us to constantly create new and better ways to pay.
