will include:\nDesign, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native applications and backend services that support Corpay's eMoney and FX ecosystem.\n\nDesign and implement event-driven applications and distributed systems using asynchronous messaging patterns to enable scalable communication and integration between business systems.\n\nDesign and develop software solutions using C# and .NET, leveraging AWS, serverless technologies, and modern architectural patterns.\n\nDevelop reusable backend services, RESTful APIs, and shared application capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple products and engineering teams.\n\nDesign and build software that automates business processes, improves operational efficiency, and enables scalable integration across business platforms.\n\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and engineering teams to analyse business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.\n\nContribute to the design and evolution of distributed systems, providing input into architecture, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.\n\nTake ownership of technical delivery throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while promoting engineering best practices, secure development principles, and coding standards.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and helping maintain high engineering standards across the team.\n\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day collaboration.\n\nTroubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements to system reliability and application performance.\n\nWork closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure applications are scalable, observable, and operationally resilient.\n\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, API documentation, and architectural decisions.\n\nContinuously identify opportunities to improve software quality, operational efficiency, engineering processes, and system performance.\n\nCommunicate technical solutions and progress effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nQualifications & Skills\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n\nMinimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience designing and building scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications.\n\nStrong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET.\n\nStrong experience designing cloud-native applications using AWS and serverless architectures.\n\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.\n\nStrong experience designing and developing event-driven applications using messaging and event streaming technologies such as Amazon EventBridge, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS/SNS, or similar.\n\nExperience designing and developing reusable backend services, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.\n\nExperience building workflow automation, business process orchestration, or event-driven business applications.\n\nExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and performance optimisation.\n\nExperience defining and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with practical experience of AWS CloudFormation.\n\nGood understanding of Kubernetes and modern cloud deployment environments.\n\nExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability practices for production systems.\n\nStrong understanding of secure software development principles and cloud security best practices.\n\nExperience designing highly available, resilient, business-critical software systems.\n\nAbility to analyse complex business processes and design scalable software solutions that automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.\n\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.\n\nStrong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience within financial services, payments, banking, or other regulated industries.\n\nKnowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and modern software architecture patterns.\n\nExperience working with distributed
