You will also be part of our local communities of practice, helping to identify new technologies that could support our competitive advantage in the dynamic payments industry.\nThe position reports to the Engineering Manager.\nHow We Work\nAs a Software Engineer, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:\nAssigned workspace in our Meriden office\nCompany-issued equipment\nAccess to professional development and learning resources\nRole Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities of the role will include:\nDesign, implement, test and deploy high quality software that meets agreed product and operational needs. \nBreak down complex problems into clear, maintainable solutions, working within established architectural boundaries and contributing practical improvements where needed. \nBuild reusable backend components and well documented interfaces that make products easier to integrate and evolve. \nUse test driven and behaviour driven development practices where appropriate, with a focus on automated testing and reliable delivery. \nCollaborate in an agile team to plan, estimate, refine and deliver work in line with business priorities. \nWork with Product Owners to assess solution options, explain technical trade offs and identify practical approaches. \nReview code, share constructive feedback and support less experienced engineers through pairing, coaching and day to day technical guidance. \nBuild and improve CI CD pipelines, contributing to secure, repeatable build, deployment, monitoring and operational support of services. \nContribute to the engineering community by sharing knowledge, learning new tools and improving team practices. \nContribute to cloud platform engineering or agentic AI solutions where they provide a clear, measurable value. \nQualifications & Skills\n3+ years of experience in software development.\nDemonstrable software development experience in a SaaS oriented environment. \nStrong practical backend experience building applications with C#, ASP.NET and .NET Core, including REST and SOAP services delivered through Web API. \nSome front end development experience using React, JavaScript ES6, HTML and CSS. \nWorking knowledge of SQL Server and designing effective approaches for storing and presenting complex data. \nExperience working in agile delivery teams and using source control, code review and CI CD practices. \nUnderstanding of DevOps principles and their role in reliable, repeatable software delivery. \nPractical experience in one or more of cloud platform engineering, CI CD engineering or agentic AI solutions.
