Under the direction of the certified crane operator and Civil Superintendent the Rigger/Samper will possess 3+ years’ experience working in the heavy construction industry.\nJob Description\nAttaching loads to rigging machinery in order to move them safely from one location to another.\n\nEnsuring the appropriate size and type of bolts, clamps, shackles, slings, and other rigging hardware are used for each attachment.\n\nManipulating rigging lines, hoists, and related equipment to control and safely position heavy equipment or materials.\n\nEnsuring selected cables, pulleys, winches, and other rigging equipment are suitable for the weight and configuration of the load.\n\nCommunicating effectively with crane operators, construction staff, and other crew members using verbal communication and standardized hand signals to ensure the safe and correct movement of heavy equipment and materials.\n\nTesting and setting up rigging equipment prior to each lift or movement to ensure safety, stability, and maneuverability.\n\nEnsuring compliance with safe hoisting and rigging practices throughout all stages of the rigging process.\n\nPerforming hoisting and rigging equipment cleanup, inspection, and routine maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, clean, and ready for use.\n\nInspecting rigging gear for signs of wear, damage, or defects and reporting any issues as required.\n\nEnsuring all rigging gear, tools, and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained, organized, and stored for the next shift.\n\nAssembling and dismantling rigging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift or as required.\n\nFollowing all applicable workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work area.\n\nRequirements\nPrevious experience working with cranes, including Tower Cranes, and with hoisting and rigging equipment.\n\nPossess a valid Rigging Ticket.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge and ability to use proper rigging hand signals and communicate effectively with crane operators and site personnel.\n\nExperience with hoisting and rigging equipment cleanup, inspection, maintenance, and proper storage.\n\nValid WHMIS, Elevated/Aerial Work Platform, and Fall Arrest certificates are required.\n\nPrevious experience working at water treatment plants or facilities, heavy industrial sites, or high-rise construction projects would be considered an asset.\n\nExperience operating a skid steer and/or telehandler would be considered an asset.\n\nExcellent communication, positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.\n\nAbility to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment and follow directions and established safety
