This position is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring that all parts are properly assembled.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMaintains an assigned schedule.\nCompletes work in accordance with specification in the Corian Fabrication Manual.\nMaintains workspace and cleans up the machine/work area, including dust and cutoffs. \nAssists with the organization of cut sheets and analyzing part requirements to minimize waste and increase output using proper utilization of cut off waste (acceptable waste factor is less than 10%).\nManages output to meet assigned deadlines and communicate any and all delays to supervisor. \nEnsures proper sizing, pattern direction, and hole locations are achieved.\nMonitors the operating machine at all times.\nVerifies dimensions or checks the quality/fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.\nSets up or operates machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers, to cut, mold, or shape solid surfaces.\nReinforces joints in accordance with the fabrication manual.\nAttaches parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.\nAssists with the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired or plan the methods or operations for shaping or assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions.\nCuts Solid Surfaces to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or clamps.\nTrims, sands, or scrapes surfaces or joints to prepare articles for finishing.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma/GED.\nExperience with solid surface materials and applications, counter tops, enclosures, and wall panels, or experience in the building trades.\nAt least 10+ years’ experience in a solid surface shop environment.\nMust have technical skills to proficiently run shop equipment like table saw, routers, and skill saw.\nDetail-oriented and capable of working on multiple tasks and deadlines.\nDependable with a positive attitude and commitment to success.\nMust have effective communication skills, as well as excellent attendance and work principles.\nBA/BS in related field, or additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation preferred.\nExperience with plastic laminates and Solid Surface materials preferred.\nAbout Us\nCorporate Interiors is a customer-focused organization specializing in workplace environments.
