Seed Applied Technology Technical Sales Manager
The Technical Sales Manager for Seed Applied Technology will support the Environmental Solutions team. The role will be responsible for selling, positioning and educating seed applied technology products with U.S. distribution, ag retail channel members, independent seed companies and COI’s. The role will also ongoing training and support for sales teams, support portfolio management and help introduce new products.
Primarily responsible for new account development and expanding business sales to existing accounts. Drive sales effectiveness within designated geography and carry individual or team sales quota: responsible for revenue by team and self. Administer sales policies and programs to meet sales and profit goals. Manage and build relationships with current customers. Identify and establish relationships with new customers. Promote and sell custom offerings, be the expert on products and services and the competitive industry offerings. May serve as role model / mentor to others but will not directly supervise. Demonstrate deep understanding of business processes and channel partner needs to provide feedback and improve overall sales effectiveness.
Qualifications:
5 plus years’ experience selling, preferred in seed applied technologies
Ability to learn and adapt as portfolio expands
Proven history with building customer relationships and consultative selling
Previous background on launching new products and services
Travel 50% or more of the time

The salary range for this position is $ to $.This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
