This role is responsible for executing the logistics plan throughout the external logistics network and providing technical support, including SAP transactional activities that underpin logistics work processes.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Prioritize and execute logistics operations to meet business needs using key methodologies and technologies.\n· Lead and coordinate routine operational and performance reviews with key logistics providers\n· Support DS&S goals across all transport and storage modes; investigate incidents and product damage, escalate appropriately, and prepare draft reports.\n· Coordinate export & import activities from Australia & NZ with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams.\n· Contribute logistics expertise to improve processes and procedures.\n· Participate in business or functional initiatives that interface with logistics operations.\nOperational Logistics\nHandle routine and ad-hoc logistics issues (e.g., damages, part cartons, relabelling).\nMonitor EDI and collaborate with global teams for resolution.\nTrack Logistics metrics and liaise with logistics suppliers for follow-up actions.\nMaintain SAP system master data related to the Logistics workstream.\nRecord, maintain, and measure logistics KPIs as required.\nExecute reverse Logistics through our Logistics Network. \nInventory Management\nMonitor and maintain inventory levels in line with LSP warehouse capacity.\nCollaborate with warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling and distribution of goods.\nEnsure accurate inventory records at LSP warehouses.\nImplement strategies to minimize inventory carrying and obsolescence costs.\nCoordinate with planning teams for timely restocking.\nPerform Goods Receipt and Goods Issue transactions within specified timeframes.\nConduct weekly inventory accuracy checks and manage related metrics.\nLead annual stock takes and reconciliation activities.\nManage batch control, FEFO and conduct GAP investigations. \nOrder Fulfilment\nEnsure sufficient transport capacity with LSP companies.\nOversee order processing and fulfilment operations.\nGuarantee timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.\nResolve order-related issues and discrepancies promptly.\nOptimize freight costs while ensuring service levels and delivery schedules. \nWarehouse & Carrier Relations\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers.\nSupport Procurement Logistics team in contract negotiations and service terms.\nEvaluate supplier and carrier performance; recommend improvements.\nConduct supplier performance reviews and KPI meetings in collaboration with Procurement. \nLogistics Coordination\nFacilitate product shipments and coordinate deliveries to customers.\nPlan and optimize transportation routes.\nSchedule shipments and deliveries efficiently.\nMonitor shipment status and address delays or issues proactively.\nCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding logistics status and potential issues.\nSupply Chain Improvement\nParticipates in logistics work process improvement sessions. Within area of responsibility, identifies opportunities and assists in resolving productivity issues.\nIdentifies opportunities to minimize cost-to-serve through process improvements.
