This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and financial analytics - turning raw billing data into actionable, automated optimisation.\nWe work with the FinOps Foundation, shape industry standards, and expand the discipline into AI, sustainability, SaaS and beyond.\nYour Tasks\nCost Visibility & Tooling Engineering\nDesign integrations across AWS, Azure, and GCP billing APIs\n\nArchitect data pipelines that normalise and unify multi-cloud, SaaS, and on-prem spend data\n\nBuild dashboards, cost views, and real-time alerting using BI and observability tools\n\nAutomation & Policy Enforcement\nDesign automated cost controls: policy-as-code guardrails (tagging, lifecycle, sizing), event-driven automation for idle resource cleanup and budget notifications\n\nWrite reusable Terraform modules embedding cost-awareness into provisioning\n\nInfrastructure Optimisation\nGenerate rightsizing recommendations and remediate waste across cloud, SaaS, AI, and on-prem workloads\n\nOptimise Kubernetes workloads, storage tiers, network egress, and managed service configurations\n\nCost Allocation & Tagging Engineering\nDesign and enforce tagging frameworks at scale\n\nImplement automated compliance checks and remediation workflows\n\nBuild showback/chargeback systems mapping spend to business units, products, and teams\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with DevOps, Platform, and SRE teams to embed FinOps into existing workflows\n\nEnable engineering self-service through tools, APIs, and integrations that surface cost context\n\nCollaborate with finance to translate engineering data into business reporting\n\nThought Leadership\nDevelop FinOps blueprints and playbooks\n\nContribute trainings, talks, and publications\n\nExpand offerings into FinOps for AI, FinOps for SaaS, or sustainability tracking\n\nClient Advisory & Consulting\nAct as a technical consultant to client teams - conduct assessments, lead workshops, and translate engineering solutions into business outcomes during client-facing engagements\n\nContribute to solution design proposals and project scoping, ensuring technical feasibility aligns with client expectations and timelines\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation\n\nProfessional development through challenging projects and training opportunities\n\nA diverse, international team with a strong knowledge-sharing culture\n\nOpportunities for thought leadership: conferences, publications, certifications\n\nA collaborative, supportive team environment\n\nRequirements\nDegree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field\n\nProficiency in English and German (min.
