Advance the standard of neurodevelopmental care. \nCortica is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Behavior Technician (SBT) to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You’ll work closely with educators, caregivers, and Cortica’s clinical team to help students succeed across their school day. \nCortica was founded to fix the fragmented journey families often face when seeking therapies for their children. By blending neurology, research-based therapies, and technology into one cohesive care model, we deliver life-changing neurodevelopmental care-one child, one family, one community at a time. \nAs part of this mission, we proudly partner with local schools to provide ABA therapy in educational settings. This extension of our care reflects our commitment to supporting children not only in clinics and homes, but also in the environments where they learn and grow. \nSchedule & Availability \nThis position follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with required availability from 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM. While actual working hours vary based on student needs, you’ll receive a minimum of 4 hours of paid work per day when you remain available and accept assignments. \nAt times when you are not yet assigned to a designated client, you may follow an administrative schedule from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. During this window, you’ll stay engaged with administrative tasks from home and be ready to step into a school session if one becomes available. \nSchool-Based Role \nThis role follows the school’s academic calendar and includes unpaid breaks during periods such as Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer. During the school year, you’ll play a vital role in supporting student success within their educational environments. \nWhat will you do? \nExecute all responsibilities and skills associated with the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire for districts that require certification. \nProvide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within schools. \nImplement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs, aligning with the student’s IEP and school goals. \nWork closely with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into the daily classroom routine and support students’ engagement and learning. \nSupport student development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care (e.g., toileting, hygiene, dressing) as appropriate to the school context. \nUtilize a strengths-based treatment approach developed in collaboration with the educational team. \nCollect data consistently on student progress and behaviors during each session and complete timely documentation, including session notes and incident reports. \nParticipate in classroom observations, team meetings, and school-based training sessions as assigned. \nImplement proactive behavior support strategies and follow school safety and crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting procedures. \nTravel between assigned work sites, as needed, within the designated service area. \nOther duties as assigned. \nWe’d love to hear from you if: \nYou hold a high school diploma or equivalent. \nYou can obtain and maintain Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 30 days of employment, where required by the district. \nYou can obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment \nYou can maintain reliable transportation and must be able to travel between work locations. \nYou have a first aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain. \nYou have a tuberculosis (TB) clearance. \nYour Compensation & Benefits \nCortica cares deeply about the well-being of each member of our team, and we have created a passionate, caring, and growth-minded culture that helps teammates to thrive!
