Our mission is to empower legal practitioners with AI-driven solutions that streamline their workflow, boost productivity, and provide more efficient client service. Working alongside our Sydney-based team of passionate high achievers, you’ll join a fast-growing technology business where things rarely stay the same for long - and if you’re smart, caring, and ambitious, you’ll be in great company.\nAI is transforming the legal industry and CORTO is at the forefront of this change. There is a huge opportunity for law firms to save time, money and to add more value to their client base. This is where FormPhil comes in. FormPhil is a startup product transforming the way legal work is done to unlock new value for law firms and their clients. We will be utilising our in-house expertise and the power of AI to save hours of work and transform the way law firms provide access to legal justice.\nOur goal is to automate the filling in of any legal form in the world. We’ll start by integrating seamlessly with LEAP Legal Software’s ecosystem, then the rest of ATI’s well-known platforms (Infotrack, Smokeball etc).\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a hands-on lead front-end developer who is able to take the Figma designs from the team, understand the requirements, interact and give the designer feedback and them bring the designs to life by combining an eye for responsive design, a clear understanding of what makes software enjoyable to use, and strong front-end engineering skills.\nWorking within FormPhil team, as a part of CORTO, in ATI, one of the world’s largest legal technology companies, you’ll partner closely with our UX/UI Lead and full-stack developers to turn functional interfaces into polished, usable, intuitive user experiences.\nYou’ll contribute ideas, explore alternative approaches, and bring thoughtful details to the finished product, from the way an interaction responds to how an application guides users through a complex task. You’ll understand the intent behind a design and know how to carry that intent through to a working application.\nHow you’ll work with the team\nFor cross-functional features, our full-stack developers will typically build the backend and an initial frontend implementation. You’ll take that implementation further: refining the interface, improving interactions, strengthening the frontend code, and ensuring the experience feels cohesive and complete.\nYou’ll also collaborate early with the UX/UI Lead and developers to shape interactions, identify reusable patterns, and resolve design and technical questions before they become rework.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role with responsibility for both the quality of the interface and the code behind it.\nWhat you’ll do\nPartner with the UX/UI Lead. Understand the user problem and design intent, contribute fresh ideas, and help explore what is possible. Discuss trade-offs constructively and suggest improvements that make the product clearer, simpler, and easier to use. \nBring designs to life. Translate Figma designs into high-quality React interfaces, with careful attention to layout, typography, spacing, responsive behaviour, and interaction details. Use subtle transitions and feedback where they make the experience more useful. \nComplete the experience beyond the design. Identify and resolve gaps between static designs and a working application, including loading, empty, error, validation, focus, and disabled states. Exercise sound judgement and collaborate with the UX/UI Lead where decisions need further design input. \nElevate frontend implementations. Work alongside full-stack developers to refine initial implementations into production-ready experiences. Improve component structure, state handling, usability, and consistency while preserving the functionality and business requirements of the feature. \nBuild reusable components and patterns. Develop and maintain shared component libraries and frontend conventions. Make common interactions easy to implement consistently, document their use, and help the wider engineering team adopt them. \nImprove performance and reliability. Identify and address slow loading, unnecessary rendering, and unresponsive interactions. Write maintainable, tested code, participate in code reviews, and build accessibility and cross-browser reliability into the implementation. \nWhat you’ll bring\nStrong visual and interaction judgement. You notice when spacing, hierarchy, feedback, or behaviour feels wrong, and can explain how to improve it. You understand that good user experience is about clarity, predictability, and ease of use as much as appearance. \nExperience working closely with designers. You’re comfortable interpreting Figma designs, discussing design intent, prototyping ideas, and resolving the details that only become apparent during implementation. \nStrong React and TypeScript skills, supported by a solid understanding of JavaScript, semantic HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks and tooling. You can build and maintain substantial applications, not just isolated screens. \nSound frontend engineering practices. You have experience with reusable components, application state, API integration, responsive design, accessibility, testing, and performance optimisation. You can improve existing code without introducing unnecessary complexity. \nA proactive, collaborative approach. You raise issues, propose solutions, and follow through. You’re comfortable refining another developer’s implementation, giving and receiving constructive feedback, and sharing ownership of the finished product. \nWe’re particularly interested in examples where your contribution made an interface meaningfully better. These could be products, components, or case studies that demonstrate your engineering decisions and attention to user experience.\nEven better if you have\nExperience with design systems, component documentation tools such as Storybook, complex forms, workflow-heavy applications, or AI-powered interfaces would be useful. An interest in making complex professional software feel straightforward and approachable is especially relevant.\nWhat success looks like\nThe application feels polished and cohesive. Designs retain their intent in production, and transitions, interactions, loading states and error handling receive the same care as the screens themselves. \nYou close the gaps between design and implementation. You use sound judgement where designs do not specify every detail, identifying and resolving usability issues and inconsistencies before they reach customers. \nYour work makes the whole team more effective. Reusable components, shared patterns and clear frontend standards help developers build better, more consistent interfaces with less duplication and rework. \nThe application stays fast and responsive as it grows. You deliver measurable improvements to loading times and interaction performance, making everyday workflows feel smoother and more seamless. \nYou become a trusted partner to the UX/UI Lead and full-stack developers. They involve you early, seek your input and rely on you to help turn functional features into well-crafted experiences. \nYour ideas make the product better. You contribute practical improvements to usability and interaction design, with a visible impact on the quality of the experience. \nWhy join CORTO?\nYour work matters. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms. So they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve. \nMake an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects - and to make a real difference. \nWork with a group of authentic, passionate people who love what they do. \nWell-funded and global. CORTO is part of ATI Global - one of the largest international LegalTech companies. \nFlexible and hybrid working. We engage, share, and collaborate on ideas and workflows. \nCareer and learning opportunities - we move fast and need smart people to get us where we're going. We are a scaling business and looking for people who want to grow with us.\nHave fun with us. Celebrations. Socials. Sports teams. Access to sailing and yacht events. \nWe value your well-being with additional time off, gym membership and other perks. \nFast-paced tech environment, if we don't disrupt ourselves someone else will do it!\n Access to LEAP Home - a program unique to the ATI Group to support you in buying your primary residence.","description_format":"text","description_chars":8644,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Gym membership","Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Australia","iso":"AU","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["LLM & Generative AI","AI Development Tools"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-02T23:57:14Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":36,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-11-04T06:34:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/corto-lead-frontend-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/corto-lead-frontend-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-04T07:07:02Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":11144,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-05T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4017},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4017"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fcorto-lead-frontend-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fcorto-lead-frontend-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fcorto-lead-frontend-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/corto-lead-frontend-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fcorto-lead-frontend-engineer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3650351}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"cortoptyltd.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3650351},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
