This hands-on, fast-paced role is ideal for a dependable self-starter who learns quickly, works independently, manages competing deadlines, and demonstrates sound judgment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounts Receivable (AR):\nGenerate customer invoices from purchase orders, contracts, and periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) service activity to the appropriate wells, rigs, and AFEs as required by the customer.\nVerify invoice accuracy and obtain necessary approvals before submission; submit invoices through customer-mandated e-invoicing and vendor portals (e.g., OpenInvoice, SAP Ariba, GEP).\nPrepare weekly collections forecast and flag at-risk accounts.\nMonitor accounts for late or missed payments and follow up, escalating issues as needed.\nPost daily bank activity to AR.\nProcess credit memos and adjustments as needed.\nAccounts Payable (AP):\nReceive and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.\nEnter vendor invoices into the accounting system promptly with proper GL coding.\nReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.\nProcess ACH, wire, and check payments.\nManage vendor onboarding, including W-9 collection and vendor setup.\nReview and post all AP-related bank transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording.\nGeneral Accounting & Month-End Close:\nPrepare and post journal entries.\nReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.\nProcess and reconcile employee expense reports, travel, and corporate credit card expenses, ensuring proper documentation and coding.\nAssist with month-end and year-end close processes and supporting schedules.\nGrowth Opportunity - Payroll:\nOpportunity to grow into payroll processing over time.
