Recognized as a top kids' wearable by PCMag and others, Cosmo is on the rise.\nAbout the Role\nReports To: QA Engineering Manager\nDepartment: Engineering\nRole Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Lead QA Engineer to guide our global QA efforts while introducing and embedding AI-based tools and intelligent automation across our development lifecycle.\nAs Lead QA Engineer, you will own the overall quality strategy for our hardware, firmware, mobile apps, cloud services and AI-powered features. You’ll combine hands-on testing (manual and automated) with strategic adoption of the latest tools in generative AI, test automation, and DevSecOps to ship reliable, delightful experiences to families around the world.\nWhat You'll Do\nQuality Strategy & Leadership\nDefine and evangelize a holistic QA vision that blends manual, automated and AI-augmented testing.\nEstablish quality KPIs (defect escape rate, test coverage) and continuously improve against them.\nMentor and scale a distributed QA team; run regular quality guilds, workshops and AI upskilling sessions.\nTest Planning & Execution\nReview specifications and user stories; derive risk-based, AI-generated test scenarios.\nBuild and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, integration, performance, security) using modern frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Robot Framework).\nConduct exploratory, usability and compliance testing across multiple devices, OS versions, browsers and wearable hardware SKUs.\nAI & Tooling Innovation\nPilot and integrate GenAI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test-case authoring, data fabrication and defect triage.\nLeverage ML-based anomaly detection in observability pipelines (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana) to trigger self-healing tests.\nEvaluate open-source and commercial AI test-ops solutions; build PoCs and drive adoption.\nInfrastructure & DevSecOps\nPartner with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitrise) for parallelized, containerized test execution.\nImplement security and privacy test automation.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with the Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Support and Release team to align on quality goals, release readiness and user feedback loops.\nProvide data-driven insights to influence roadmap prioritization and AI feature rollouts.\nRequirements\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Experience\n9+ years of progressive QA experience, including 2+ years leading QA team.\nProven success testing OS Level and/or hardware + mobile + cloud + AI/ML solutions in a consumer or IoT environment.\nExperience with API testing (REST/gRPC/GraphQL), message queues, micro-services and data pipelines.\nDemonstrated use of AI tooling in a QA or development workflow-e.g., generating test data, fuzzing inputs, writing code, predicting flaky tests, or performing RCAs etc.\nStrong grasp of Agile, Waterfall, and DevSecOps practices;
