This role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, enabling analytics at scale, and leveraging modern AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve engineering efficiency and quality.\nThis position is located in San Diego, CA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home.\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms\n\nDevelop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large, complex datasets\n\nBuild and manage data solutions using Databricks and Spark\n\nDevelop backend data services using C# / .NET\n\nLeverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development\n\nDesign efficient data models and ensure high performance and reliability\n\nCollaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver production systems\n\nEnsure data quality, availability, and performance across systems\n\nLead technical design decisions and mentor other engineers\n\nBasic Qualifications: \nBachelor's degree requiredfrom an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university\n\nA track recordof commitment to prior employers.\n\n5+ years of data engineering experience\n\nStrong experience with data pipelines and ETL frameworks\n\nExperience building and scaling large data systems\n\nExperience with AWS-based data platforms and services\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExpertise with Databricks / Apache Spark, C# / .NET, and SQL/database design\n\nExperience with AI/ML data pipelines\n\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar)\n\nExperience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis)\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.\nWe offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
