By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.\nPosition Overview\nAs a Software Engineer II on the Sales Development team, you will be responsible for building software that supports CoStar Group’s sales teams, with a particular focus on high profile AI initiatives. Our team is building AI solutions that prep sales representatives to have well-informed and highly-tailored conversations with prospects and customers. You will help solve real business problems end to end, contributing across the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through development and production.\nCoStar is investing heavily in artificial intelligence to accelerate software delivery, improve platform observability, automate research and business workflows, enhance product experiences through intelligent agents and skills, and improve data quality across enterprise systems. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn, adopt, and apply AI technologies responsibly to solve complex business and engineering challenges.\nThis position is located in Richmond, VA and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in office and the option to work from home on Friday.\nResponsibilities\nBuild customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.\nContribute to design discussions and code reviews, and help keep our engineering standards high.\nBuild AI-powered capabilities, such as agents, skills, and tools, that streamline workflows for our sales teams.\nPartner with Product, Sales, and Data teams to turn real business problems into shipped solutions.\nUse AI-assisted development and testing to deliver quickly while owning the quality and reliability of what you ship.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college / university\n3+ years of professional software development experience using modern engineering practices, including Git and CI/CD.\nExperience building web applications and RESTful APIs using C#/.NET and React/TypeScript.\nExperience working with relational and/or search-based data platforms, such as SQL Server and OpenSearch, including data modeling and query optimization.\nExposure to AI-assisted development or AI-powered applications, including tools and technologies such as AI coding assistants, large language models (LLMs), or prompt engineering.\nA track record of commitment to prior employers\n\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills\nStrong communication skills with both business and technical partners\nFamiliarity with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS\nExperience implementing AI agents, workflow automation platforms, or intelligent search solutions\nExperience with CRM or sales-facing products\nWhat's in it for you?\nWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.\nWe offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
