This position will work in tandem with CoStar’s global cyber threat center team to provide continuous security coverage.\nThis position is in Arlington, VA or Richmond, VA and is in office Monday through Thursday with work from home on Friday.\nResponsibilities\nOwn cyber security incidents from identification to resolution\nEnsure incidents and corresponding artifacts and evidence are consistently and accurately recorded\nWork with threat intelligence, detection engineering and security controls team to build a holistic lifecycle around incident preparedness and resolution\nOperate as a point of escalation for alert triage and provide expert guidance for investigation and incident resolution\nOwn, maintain, and improve the Incident Response Plan and the corresponding processes and procedures\nTeam expert on Mitre Att&ck, tools, techniques, and practices of cyber attackers which you use to drive the overall strategy of the incident response team. \nExecute threat hunts in the CoStar enterprise \nDevelop and deliver training as well as designing and delivering quarterly tabletop exercises\nBe a security advocate and point of contact for all things incident response through the enterprise.\nParticipate in 24x7 on-call rotation\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit, in person, university or college. \nA track record of commitment to prior employers \n4+ years of hands-on security engineering experience\nExcellent documentation and communication skills\nAbility to identify opportunities for automation to increase detection and response efficacy.\nExperience with Microsoft/Azure security tooling\nExperience in scripting with a language such as Python or a low-code automation solution\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills\nExperience performing incident response in cloud environments.\nExperience with Kubernetes environments and how to defend/attack them.\nExperience collaborating with threat intelligence and detection engineering\nAbility to work on a cultural diverse team that spans international time zones and foster an environment of inclusions and participation with all team members \nAbility to mentor and train team members to work effectively and adopt new skills.\nAbility to communicate with different levels of leadership across the enterprise to convey risk and drive urgency for risk remediation.\nExperience with Microsoft Security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, EOP etc.) a plus\nWhat’s in it for You\nWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.\nWe offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
