Using their technical experience in ETL processes, Data Engineers ensure operational functions are occurring as expected. This includes but is not limited to managing data implementations, data production, data quality, and data security.\nResponsibilities\nCreate, maintain and execute basic to intermediate SQL scripts for data management and data validation.\nOptimize the queries to improve the efficiency of daily tasks.\nPerform data analysis and identify any issues.\nWork with other groups such as Engineering team, DBA etc. to troubleshoot and resolve any environmental or network issues that impact your work. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.\n2+ years of working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica, etc.) and experience using SQL, PL/SQL or other data integration/ETL tools. \n2+ years of data analysis. Preferably in the Healthcare industry of enrollment, medical claims and/or pharmacy claims. \nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. \nFlexible work schedule. \nExperience with project management tools like JIRA.\nStrong analytical skills\nExcellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.\nAbility to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines and tight turnaround times.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with multi-datacenter F5 deployments and global traffic management.\nFamiliarity with firewall and security platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5 AFM).\nExperience with certificate lifecycle management platforms (e.g., AppViewX).\nCompetency in automation scripting (Python, Bash, and nice to have Ansible).\nCognitive/Mental Requirements:\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\nProblem-solving and thinking critically.\nCompleting tasks independently.\nInterpreting data.\nMaking timely decisions in the context of a workflow.\nMaintaining focus.\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.\nLearning new tasks and completing tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.\nRemembering and adhering to processes and protocols.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.\nNo adverse environmental conditions expected.\nMust be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance. \nMust be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.\nBase compensation ranges from $78,000 to $120,000 per year.
