This role serves as a subject matter expert for data governance, analytics architecture, and AI/ML best practices across Health Enablement. This role provides advisory leadership, technical guidance, and architecture standards to ensure analytics and innovation efforts are aligned to enterprise data strategy and built in a scalable, sustainable manner.\nThis position operates as a consultative technical partner to Innovation, Analytics, and Reporting teams helping shape how solutions are designed and delivered; enabling Health Enablement Analytics to operate as a reliable, high-impact capability, driving measurable business outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nData Governance & Standards\nContribute to the development of data governance standards, and best practices across analytics and reporting.\nProvide guidance on data quality, consistency, and appropriate use of enterprise data assets.\nSupport the standardization of data models, business metrics, and reusable data assets to improve consistency and efficiency.\nImplement governance frameworks, ensuring policies are embedded into day-to-day data and analytics workflows.\nEstablish clear data stewardship accountability across business and analytics teams. \nOversee data quality processes, metadata management, and governance monitoring to ensure sustained data integrity. \nServe as the primary point of contact for Information Governance, data risk, and compliance alignment. \nData Architecture & Platform Alignment\nDrive standardization of data assets to reduce fragmentation and enable consistent cross-domain insights. \nProvide subject matter expertise on analytics architecture across BI, reporting, and advanced analytics.\nPartner with teams to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise data platforms and long-term strategy.\nRecommend architectural approaches that support scalability, interoperability, and reuse.\nTechnical Enablement & Scalable Delivery\nServe as a technical SME contributing to AI/ML standards and best practices.\nProvide guidance to ensure analytic and AI solutions are designed for scalability and sustainability.\nAdvise on approaches to monitor performance, manage technical debt, and identify architectural risk.\nAssess technical feasibility of innovation and analytics initiatives and provide input on viable solution approaches.\nConsult on solution design to support production readiness and scalability.\nIdentify constraints in data or architecture and propose practical workarounds to enable business outcomes.\nDefine guardrails that enable faster decision-making and reduce execution friction. \nCross-Functional Collaboration\nServe as a consultative technical partner to Innovation, Data Science, Reporting, and broader enterprise teams.\nTranslate business and analytics requirements into technical solutions and executable designs. \nProvide input on feasibility, architecture, and standards to support solution development.\nCollaborate across teams to ensure analytics solutions are aligned with enterprise direction while meeting business needs.\nContribute technical expertise to vendor evaluations and platform decisions as needed.\nHire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.\nComplete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.\nComplete all special projects and other duties as assigned.\nMust be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.\nQualifications\nAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field required. \n10+ years of experience in data governance, data architecture, data engineering, and analytics roles. \n5+ years of leadership experience driving data governance, data architecture, and analytics platform initiatives at enterprise scale. \nProven ability to define and implement data governance frameworks, standards, and data quality processes.\nStrong expertise in: data modeling, data warehousing and lakehouse architectures, cloud-based analytics platforms and modern data ecosystems. \nExperience enabling analytics and AI/ML solutions to scale from prototype to production deployment. \nStrong understanding of BI platforms, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data lifecycle management. \nExperience working across analytics, product, engineering, and innovation teams in complex environments. \nAbility to translate business and analytics priorities into scalable technical architecture and design. \nStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities. \nAble to work independently in a fast-paced environment as part of a distributed team with effective communication and collaboration skills.\nProven ability to handle stressful situations, multiple tasks, and deadline Enterprise project management methods and process management experience preferred.\nShares information with all appropriate stakeholders and escalates to director in a timely, effective.\nStrong written and oral communication The ability to communicate effectively (clear, concise, and professionally) at all levels within Cotiviti.\nDemonstrated teamwork, leadership, and project management discipline.\nDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive business outcomes.\nCognitive/Mental Requirements:\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.\nCritical thinker and problem solver with strong analytic modeling and technical skills.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:\nMust be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nMust be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.\nRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nNo adverse environmental conditions expected\nBase compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
