As the technical lead for the Risk Adjustment (RA) Coding Agent, you will own the end-to-end technical architecture-from clinical NLP integration and production routing to core AI platform components that enable scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions across clinical use cases. You will design advanced clinical AI capabilities, including evidence classifiers, structured clinical evidence graphs, and deterministic policy engines that produce explainable, auditable decisions in a CMS-regulated environment. Working closely with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Engineering teams, you will establish foundational architecture, mentor engineering teams, and drive the technical vision, governance, and evaluation frameworks that ensure platform scalability, reliability, and regulatory compliance.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and implement scalable agentic solutions for diverse use cases. \nLeverage a broad stack of Open-Source AI technologies to build and maintain a centralized AI platform with unified APIs for cross-functional team access and build various types of agents. \nWork with Product Engineers to integrate AI agents into customer-facing applications and internal tools.\nLead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and help set the technical vision for the AI platform roadmap. \nEnsure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements across the software development lifecycle. \nOptimize performance of AI-powered workloads across compute and storage layers using cloud-native and open-source solutions. \nConduct performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure platform scalability.\nComplete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting . \nComplete all special projects and other duties as assigned. \nMust be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. \nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. \n12+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years working on AI/ML platforms or infrastructure. \nExperience in building large-scale distributed systems and microservices. \nStrong programming skills in Python and Java. \nHands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar. \nExperience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). \nUnderstanding of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks \nCloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure). \nNice to have:\nExperience in Risk Adjustment coding. \nCognitive/Metal Requirements:\nAbility to navigate complex, ambiguous and fast-changing technologies and requirements. \nAbility to work independently as well as collaborate as a team with a sense of urgency. \nProfessional with ability to properly handle confidential information. \nBe value-driven, understand that success is based on the impact of your work rather than its complexity or the level of effort. \nAbility to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines. \nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nFlexibility to work with global teams as well geographically dispersed US based teams. \nMust be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance. \nMust be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area. \nBase compensation ranges from $208,000 to $260,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
