You'll Do:\nDeliver Core Features: Design, write, and deploy high-quality backend features and scalable APIs using Python and Django Rest Framework.\nDrive Integration & Automation: Collaborate closely with the Integrations team on API design, Kubernetes infrastructure, and automated system configuration.\nOwn Technical Architecture: Lead architectural decisions for our Django-based monolith, ensuring backend systems scale reliably with customer usage.\nSustain Observability & Quality: Use data, logging, and observability tools to resolve complex performance bottlenecks, handle edge-case failure modes, and strategically manage technical debt.\n Code Review & AI Collaboration: Conduct rigorous code reviews and actively collaborate on developing development workflows leveraging AI tools (like Claude) to optimize code quality and team velocity.\nTechnical Leadership & Mentoring: Spread engineering best practices, draft RFCs, and mentor team members to foster technical growth and alignment.\nWhat You Will Bring to Coupa:\nStrong Backend Expertise: Proven production-level experience building and scaling backend systems using Python and Django / Django REST Framework.\n API Design & SQL: Robust track record of designing stable, clean APIs and working with relational databases (specifically PostgreSQL).\nCloud-Native Infrastructure: Practical experience with Kubernetes (or a strong willingness and agility to learn it quickly).\n Technical Autonomy & Empathy: A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the capability to drive technical discussions, yet collaborate seamlessly within a tight-knit team and across global offices (including teams in India).\n AI-Assisted Development: Experience with, or a strong curiosity for, writing and reviewing code using generative AI tools (such as Claude).\n Architectural Vision (Plus): Strong system design skills or previous architectural experience is highly valued and a major
