This role builds reliable journeys, automations, audience processes and integrations that turn customer data into communications across channels. Working directly with clients, solution architects and analytics implementation engineers, this engineer translates solution designs into working, tested and documented configurations.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys and automations using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and data extensions.\nWrite SQL, AMPscript and platform scripts for audience preparation, personalization, suppression and recurring campaign processes.\nImplement journey entry, exit, re-entry, eligibility, prioritization and frequency rules.\nConfigure CDP ingestion, attributes, identity rules, segments and activation into Marketing Cloud and other destinations.\nBuild and troubleshoot integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, Marketing Cloud Connect, connectors and scheduled file transfers.\nValidate subscriber and contact identifiers, field mappings, audience counts, consent and suppression across connected platforms.\nSupport reliable email and SMS execution and integrations with direct mail providers.\nInvestigate failed automations, incomplete imports, incorrect personalization, audience discrepancies and journey execution issues.\nPartner with analytics and tagging engineers to validate how behavioral events update customer profiles, qualify audiences and trigger communications.\nWork directly with client marketing, CRM and data teams to clarify requirements, explain issues and guide implementation.\nDocument configurations, dependencies, QA results, deployment procedures and operational runbooks.\nRequirements\n4+ years of hands-on experience in marketing technology implementation, including substantial production experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.\nDemonstrated experience personally building and troubleshooting Marketing Cloud journeys, automations and audiences using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and data extensions.\nStrong SQL and AMPscript skills for segmentation, validation and personalization, plus working JavaScript skills for platform scripting, transformations or integrations.\nExperience configuring at least one enterprise CDP, including customer profiles, identity resolution, segmentation and activation.\nExperience connecting customer data sources or CDP audiences to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.\nExperience with REST APIs, authentication, JSON payloads and scheduled data integrations, using tools such as Postman.\nUnderstanding of analytics events, data layers and tagging, including their impact on downstream profiles and activation.\nPractical experience implementing consent, communication preferences and suppression rules.\nExperience working directly with client technical and business stakeholders, with clear documentation and troubleshooting skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on Salesforce Data 360/Data Cloud experience.\nSalesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant or Data Cloud certifications.\nExperience with SSJS, custom journey activities and API-triggered communications.\nExperience with email deliverability, IP warming and sender reputation troubleshooting.\nDeeper analytics implementation, tag management or server-side collection experience.\nExperience with Snowflake, BigQuery or Python.\nAutomotive, OEM or dealer-network CRM experience.\nBackground in MarTech consulting or agency delivery.\nWork Environment\nThis role supports multiple GTX client engagements across industries and technology platforms.\nThe role requires close coordination with client marketing, technology and data teams;
