For more information, visit covenant.com\nTHE ROLE\nWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop, optimize, and scale the manufacturing processes for our next-generation autonomous defense systems. You will work at the intersection of Design Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure our products can be manufactured efficiently, reliably, and at scale.\nThis is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving problems on the production floor and turning engineering designs into repeatable, high-quality manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in moving products from development and prototype builds into production while continuously improving throughput, quality, and operational efficiency.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for complex autonomous systems and electromechanical assemblies.\nDevelop assembly processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and production methods to improve throughput and repeatability.\nPartner closely with Design and Systems Engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and scalable production.\nLead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase production capacity.\nWork with suppliers and vendors to source, qualify, and improve materials, components, and manufacturing processes.\nEstablish and improve in-process quality controls, inspection methods, and manufacturing standards.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues, quality escapes, and process failures.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and transition from engineering development to production.\nCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures.\nEnsure manufacturing processes comply with applicable defense industry, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nProvide hands-on technical support and training to production personnel.\nTroubleshoot manufacturing issues directly on the production floor and work cross-functionally to implement solutions.\nEvaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and recommend improvements that enable scalable, high-quality production.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related production engineering role.\nExperience manufacturing complex mechanical, electromechanical, or autonomous systems.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, and production equipment.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues in a hands-on production environment.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.\nAbility to work onsite in Texas.\nThis position requires access to ITAR-controlled technology and technical data, which necessitates that the candidate be a U.S. person under federal export control laws \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience manufacturing autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, defense, or other complex hardware.\nExperience with new product introduction (NPI) and transitioning products from prototype to high-rate production.\nExperience developing production tooling, fixtures, jigs, and assembly processes.\nFamiliarity with CNC machining, composites, additive manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing processes.\nExperience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.\nExperience working in a high-growth startup or rapidly
