For more information, visit covenant.com\nTHE ROLE\nAs Covenant's first full-time Social Media Lead, you will build the company's public presence from the ground up. Working directly with our founders, you will shape how customers, partners, future employees, and the broader defense community see the work happening across our test ranges, engineering teams, and factory floors.\nThere is no existing team or playbook. You will own the function end-to-end, from daily publishing and content creation to developing Covenant's voice and long-term narrative. As the company scales, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a broader social and content team.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nOwn Covenant's X and LinkedIn accounts, as well as the founders' accounts, including daily publishing, voice, and content strategy.\nTurn engineering, testing, manufacturing, and company milestones into compelling content.\nDevelop content around flight tests, production milestones, facility launches, key hires, and other moments that demonstrate Covenant's progress.\nPartner directly with founders and leadership on public communications and major company announcements.\nCreate posts, graphics, photography, and rough video content yourself.\nBuild a consistent voice and visual identity across Covenant's social channels.\nMonitor real-time conversations, trends, and moments across defense, technology, manufacturing, and internet culture.\nBuild relationships with relevant communities, creators, and voices across defense and technology.\nEstablish the processes, tools, and strategy needed to scale Covenant's social presence.\nBuild and lead a social and content team as the company grows.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n5+ years of experience in social media, content, communications, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience building and managing social media accounts, preferably for a company, founder, or high-growth organization.\nExceptional writing skills and strong visual instincts.\nAbility to independently create social content, including graphics, photography, and basic video.\nStrong understanding of X, LinkedIn, and current internet culture.\nAbility to move quickly and capitalize on real-time opportunities.\nStrong judgment around what should-and should not-be communicated publicly.\nComfortable operating as the first hire in a new function with significant ownership and ambiguity.\nWillingness to work onsite in Dallas, Texas.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, hardware, technology, or a related industry.\nExisting understanding of defense, national security, military technology, or adjacent communities.\nExperience working directly with founders or senior executives on their social presence.\nExperience building a company's social media function from the ground up.\nExperience with photography, video production, graphic design, or creative tools.\nExperience managing or mentoring a social media or content team.\nWHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL\nYou understand the internet and know what people will actually stop scrolling to look ambitious defense company authentically without making the work feel like corporate marketing.\nYou are excited to be close to the work-on the factory floor, at test events, and alongside the engineers and operators building
