We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve - we care.\nWhat you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nABOUT THE TEAM\nCoverMyMeds' Shared Product Capabilities team is a high-performing group that builds the reusable capabilities CoverMyMeds' Specialty, Retail, and Pharmacy & PBM product teams rely on, including a unified provider portal, medical prior authorization connectivity to payers, benefits verification, enrollments, consent, affordability, and AI-driven Next Best Action. In partnership with teams across the business, Shared Product Capabilities helps people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nAs the dedicated Shared Product Capabilities Value Stream Release Train Engineer, you will serve as the chief facilitator, enabling alignment, execution, and continuous improvement across multiple teams and across the product value streams that depend on their work. Operating within the CoverMyMeds SAFe Operating Model and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) framework, you will establish the operating cadence that enables work to flow seamlessly from strategy through delivery. As a key contributor, you will apply deep expertise and independent judgment to coach teams and leaders, improve predictability, manage dependencies, solve complex delivery challenges, and deliver value at scale. This role enables alignment and execution across the system and does not own product priorities, technical architecture, team-level delivery decisions, or people management.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPartner with the Operating Model Transformation Team and Product Operations to design, facilitate, and continuously improve value stream and ART-level operating cadences, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and PI execution reviews. Help shape the broader operating model by bringing forward lessons from a cross-cutting value stream and recommending improvements to shared processes, artifacts, and cross-value stream planning practices.\nEstablish a consistent operating rhythm that enables alignment and execution, and lead large-scale, cross-functional planning and execution events involving multiple teams, competing priorities, and real-time decision-making. \nEnsure teams and leaders are prepared for PI Planning by aligning priorities, capacity, dependencies, risks, objectives, and backlog readiness. Facilitate Program Board creation and planning alignment, confidence voting, risk ROAMing, and the capture of committed and stretch PI objectives. Support pre-planning activities to promote realistic sequencing, alignment, and committed delivery outcomes.\nEnsure cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and impediments are visible and actively managed across the value stream. Monitor and improve flow across the system by identifying and addressing systemic bottlenecks, mediating cross-team conflicts and dependency trade-offs, and proactively escalating issues that cannot be resolved at the team level.\nBecause this value stream delivers capabilities consumed by multiple product value streams, partner with peer Release Train Engineers and value stream leaders to align on cross-value stream dependencies, shared team capacity, and integration milestones before and during each PI. Make competing demands for shared capacity visible, frame trade-offs with data, and bring them to the right leaders for decision.\nTrack performance, flow metrics, ART health, and delivery outcomes to improve predictability and execution confidence. Use AI-enabled analytics and dashboards to identify patterns and bottlenecks, surface risks earlier, and translate delivery insights into clear actions and data-driven decisions for teams and leaders.\nLead Inspect & Adapt workshops, retrospectives, problem-solving sessions, and improvement backlogs that strengthen ART health and delivery performance. Coach teams and leaders on Lean-Agile principles, decentralized decision-making, and system-level thinking. Share expertise and guide colleagues with less experience, enabling self-sustaining delivery systems rather than directly managing execution outcomes.\nAct as a connective force across Product Management, Technology, User Experience, Data, portfolio partners, and business leadership. Ensure alignment between strategy, backlog priorities, and execution; maintain visibility into ART health and outcomes; and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, decisions, and improvement opportunities to leaders and cross-functional partners.\nUse AI-assisted tools to enhance facilitation, scenario modeling, and dependency management across the ART. Apply predictive insights to anticipate delivery risks, optimize sequencing, redirect efforts as conditions change, and improve decision-making during PI Planning and execution, enabling faster and more adaptive value delivery.\nSKILLS YOU'LL NEED\nDegree or equivalent experience and typically 7+ years of relevant professional experience in Agile delivery, program delivery, product development, technology, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience supporting Agile teams in a scaled environment and leading large, cross-functional planning and execution events.\nStrong working knowledge of SAFe, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, PI Planning, dependency management, flow, and continuous improvement practices.\nAdvanced facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.\nAbility to develop practical approaches to complex problems, apply sound judgment with limited direction, anticipate change, and redirect efforts as needed.\nAbility to influence without formal authority and communicate credibly with delivery teams, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners.\nStrong systems thinking and the ability to connect delivery patterns, risks, dependencies, and organizational outcomes.\nExperience using Agile planning and collaboration tools such as Atlassian and Miro.\nDemonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools (such as AI assistants, agents, or custom prompts and skills) to improve delivery work, including planning preparation, story and objective drafting, reporting, and analysis, with sound judgment about where AI adds leverage and where human facilitation and review should lead.\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nSAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Practice Consultant, SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Coach, PMP, or comparable certification; relevant experience is valued alongside credentials.\nExperience supporting healthcare technology products such as prior authorization, benefits verification, payer or EHR connectivity, medication access, or another healthcare delivery environment.\nExperience with AI-assisted facilitation, predictive delivery insights, scenario modeling, or automation of Agile metrics and reporting.\nExperience working in a product-led operating model or value stream environment spanning product, engineering, data, user experience, and business teams, particularly a shared-capability or platform value stream that serves multiple product areas.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
