Join us and our 18,000 colleagues now and together we will make the world a brighter place.\nWhat We Offer\nAs a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at our Newark, OH facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance of extrusion equipment and associated processes.\nThis role offers a starting pay between $39.33 and $41.73 per hour (paid bi-weekly), with the opportunity to reach a top pay of $47.18 per hour based on time in the role.\nThis is a full-time role that includes annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).\nMajor Responsibilities\nWorks safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all Covestro standard operating procedures\n\nRepair and maintain process control systems, programmable logic controllers, HMI programs, laboratory instrumentation, instrumentation systems, and electrical controls\n\nRepair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as extruders, pelletizers, screeners, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, electric motors, and compressors\n\nTroubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, cooling towers and chillers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems\n\nTroubleshoot PLC, HMI programs\n\nProgram control systems\n\nMonitor project start-ups\n\nDesign electrical systems and instrument control loops\n\nEvaluate instrument and electrical hardware\n\nCommunicate with manufacturer’s field engineers as needed\n\nInitiate purchase requisitions for parts and equipment\n\nRepairs or replaces defective parts, using hand or power tools\n\nPerforms preventive maintenance on all systems and equipment\n\nTrouble shoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems\n\nPerform basic pipefitting tasks\n\nDismantles devices to gain access to and for removal of defective parts; using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools\n\nLubricates and cleans parts\n\nCoordinates and schedules projects with maintenance, production, laboratory and storeroom\n\nInspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments\n\nInstalls and removes machines utilizing various rigging devices\n\nExamines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections\n\nRepairs and maintains HVAC systems, cooling towers and chillers\n\nRepairs barrel cooling systems (steam)\n\nWhat You Offer\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in Maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and pneumatic control systems\n\nRequired to take WorkKeys Test and receive qualifying test scores on the following assessments: Workplace Documents (6), Applied Math (6), Applied Technology (5) and Graphic Literacy (5)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociates degree in Electromechanical Technology or closely related degree and 2 years of experience in Maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and pneumatic control systems\n\nExperience using Allen Bradley equipment\n\nKnowledge & Skills:\nObtain/maintain a valid forklift license\n\nAbility to read and understand diagram, sketches, operation manuals\n\nAbility to operate Windows-based computer systems as well as ability to use SAP system to perform maintenance and engineering tasks\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n#LI-AD1\nYOUR APPLICATION\nAre you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
