We move quickly, collaborate openly, and believe great ideas can come from anyone.\nIf you're excited by the opportunity to shape the future of veterinary medicine while working alongside an ambitious and supportive team, we'd love to meet you.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a strong Full-Stack Developer with cross-platform mobile, backend, and cloud infrastructure experience.\nThis role is ideal for someone who can contribute across the stack, from building high-quality mobile experiences to designing backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.\nFlutter is our primary mobile framework, so Flutter experience is ideal. However, strong experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as React Native is also highly relevant for this position.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and maintain mobile application features, primarily using Flutter.\nContribute across the full stack, including mobile, frontend, backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.\nDesign, develop, and maintain backend infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase.\nBuild robust server-side logic using Node.js and Cloud Functions in a serverless architecture.\nModel, manage, and optimize Firestore databases for performance, reliability, and scalability.\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.\nCollaborate closely with developers, QA, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality features end to end.\nPartner with product to define technical solutions that are scalable, pragmatic, and aligned with business goals.\nCoordinate implementation across mobile, frontend, backend, and QA dependencies.\nSupport deployments and help ensure smooth delivery across environments.\nMonitor, debug, and improve system performance, reliability, observability, and error handling.\nInvestigate production issues and contribute to durable fixes.\nContribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, documentation, and overall development velocity.\nUse AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate development, improve documentation, explore solutions, and support maintainable system design.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of professional software development experience across mobile, full-stack, or product engineering roles.\nStrong experience building cross-platform or hybrid mobile applications.\nExperience with Flutter is ideal; experience with React Native or similar cross-platform mobile frameworks is also valuable.\nStrong full-stack fundamentals, including comfort working across application UI, APIs, backend services, and data models.\nBackend/API development experience, preferably with Node.js or similar technologies.\nExperience with serverless architectures such as Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, or similar.\nExperience with cloud-based application development; GCP, Firebase, and Firestore experience are strong advantages.\nSolid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication patterns, and integration workflows.\nExperience with database design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization.\nAbility to build maintainable, reliable, and well-tested software.\nStrong debugging skills and comfort investigating complex technical issues across mobile, frontend, backend, and cloud surfaces.\nProficiency with Git and modern development workflows.\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.\nProfessional proficiency in English, written and spoken.\nGood judgment when using AI tools to design, implement, document, and improve technical solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong Flutter experience in production applications.\nExperience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.\nExperience building or scaling production systems in a startup environment.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for serverless and mobile applications.\nUnderstanding of security best practices in cloud-based environments.\nExperience working with external integrations and APIs at scale.\nExperience improving developer tooling, internal dashboards, observability, or admin workflows.\nWhy Join Us\nFlexible remote-first work environment\nCompetitive compensation\nGenerous vacation and time-off policies\nOpportunities for professional development and career growth\nA culture built on trust, collaboration, and impact\nCovet is an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
