Reporting to the Finance Manager (Brisbane based), you will provide accurate and timely financial information to support our wholesale distribution and software businesses across Australia & New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.\nYour responsibilities will include -\nEnd of month preparation including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.\nProviding variance analysis and other supplementary reporting to management and as required for US reporting purposes.\nDay to Day financial management of our software business and supporting the software team on financial matters.\nOwnership of processes and P&L accounts associated with fixed assets and operating leases.\nResponsibility for loading financial information into the US reporting system.\nAssisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors as required.\nBudget preparation and forecasting.\nAssisting with compliance with global internal control framework.\nAssisting with various projects and business improvement initiatives.\nAbout You\nIdeally you will display -\nTertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards).\nDemonstrated three years experience within a large, commercial environment and accounting team.\nAdvanced skills in MS Excel.\nWell developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication to suit different internal stakeholders.\nStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your work in an agile way.\nA positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Covetrus, we’re proud of our family friendly culture and respectful workplace.
