The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading inbound logistics and inventory control activities within the distribution center. This role manages frontline associates and oversees receiving, put-away, cycle counting, shrink reduction, and non-saleable inventory. The Supply Chain Manager ensures operational accuracy, compliance, and efficiency to support customer service, financial performance, and regulatory requirements.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n Inbound OperationsOversee daily receiving, dock scheduling, put-away, and vendor returns.\nServe as the primary point of contact for inbound shipment inquiries with procurement, transportation, sales, regulatory, and quality teams.\nMonitor dock-to-stock time and drive process improvements to meet service-level expectations.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory standards (DEA, FDA, state boards).\n\nInventory ControlManage cycle counting programs, investigate variances, and ensure accuracy in both quantities and dollar values.\nDrive location accuracy and reduce shrink across the DC.\nOversee disposition of damaged, expired, and non-saleable goods, including recalls and supplier returns.\nMaintain inventory data integrity with WMS/ERP systems.\n\n Metrics & AccountabilityTrack and report on key performance indicators (KPIs): dock-to-stock time, cycle count variance (cost and quantities), location accuracy, lines per hour (LPH), shrink, and write-off avoidance.\nOwn responsibility for managing DC non-saleable inventory and supplier return compliance.\n\nLeadership & People DevelopmentManage, coach, and develop a team of inbound and inventory associates.\nDrive engagement, accountability, and cross-training to optimize labor.\nServe as a peer to the Outbound Manager, jointly supporting DC operational success.\n\nContinuous ImprovementIdentify process gaps and lead tactical improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.\nEnsure SOPs are followed and updated as needed.\nPromote a culture of operational discipline, safety, and compliance.\n\nSUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES\nDirectly manages a team of inbound and inventory associates of varying levels of responsibility and experience.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field, preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and education.\n5+ years of DC operations experience, including inbound logistics and inventory control, required.\n1+ year of leadership experience in a similar setting, required.\nStrong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems and distribution processes (receiving, inventory, compliance).\nExperience in a pharmaceutical or regulated distribution environment, preferred.\nLean/Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nForklift Certification, preferred; ability to obtain Forklift Certification, required.\nCOMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)\nStrong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and execute in a high-level DC environment.\nResults-driven with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships (procurement, transportation, sales, regulatory).\nProficient in Microsoft office and general business-related software.\nHOURS AND REPORTING\nReports directly to Distribution Center (DC) Manager.\nDirect peer to Outbound Manager.\nHours for this position are Mon-Fri, day shift, with occasional requirement to work additional hours as dictated by business needs.\nThis position is a full-time, exempt position and is 100% on-site.\nPHYSICIAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
