Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will be responsible for the dispatch, receipt and management of goods within the distribution centre with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and cost effectiveness. People leadership will also be a core responsibility, and you will oversee warehouse staff, ensuring they are performing as a high-performance unit to meet KPI’s.\nSpecifically, your responsibilities will include;\nLeadership and management responsibilities including recruitment, engagement, performance management, and professional development for a large warehouse team.\nCreating, maintaining and guiding safe work practices, ensuring all employees receive appropriate training and comply with safe work practices.\nDeveloping and maintaining effective and efficient work processes and procedures in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director.\nOptimising resources across the site, including planning and directing the distribution of products and employee workflows to ensure that distribution, despatch and delivery remain consistent with agreed service levels.\nCo-ordination of cycle counts, and stock takes within the distribution centre.\nUltimate responsibility for security of the premises, inventory and staff members.\nAbout You\nTo be successful you will have;\nFormal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business (preferred)\nDemonstrated 5+ years experience in warehousing operations at a senior level within a high-volume warehouse.\nPrevious experience within Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices.\nExperience leading and coaching high performing teams coupled with a strong desire to create departmental success.\nA working knowledge of import and export regulations and procedures.\nWillingness to chip in and support the achievement of team goals as needed.\nPersonal resilience under pressure.\nAdvance skills with Warehouse Management and Freight Management Systems\nIntermediate skills in MS Office, MS Excel\nExperience in facilities management and site management\nPrevious experience utilising warehouse tracking and operational software packages (Dematic, Voice Pick & RF desirable).\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Covetrus, we’re proud of our family friendly culture and respectful workplace.
