Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job Description\nJob Duties:\nOrient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.\nCommunicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.\nCommunicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.\nServe as lane leader on sale days.\nCoordinate move requirements with lot manager and quadrant coordinator.\nAssist supervisor in making sure that lease lanes and pre-sales are properly staged and parked.\nManage vans and transport drivers to locations. Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles by transporting them according to schedule to their proper work destinations.\nShuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites. \nPick-up and drop-off employees and other Auction personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other locations.\nPerform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.\nVisibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with Market Safety Manager in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.\nWork with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement. \nEffectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.\nEnforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\nMay be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.\nQualifications\nMinimums:\nHigh School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.\nOR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.\nOR 5 years’ experience in a related field.\nSafe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.\nAbility to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles.\nBasic mechanical experience (changing flat tires, checking fluids, jump-starting vehicles, etc.).\nOvertime may be required on occasion.\nAble to lift at least 15 lbs.\nThis is a physically demanding, fast-paced job in a chaotic environment. You’ll need to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, reach, hear, and talk for extended times. \nAbility to work in varying weather conditions, tolerate elevated noise levels and ongoing car exhaust fumes. \nVision: ability to see close, distance, color variations, depth perception, and adjust focus.\nPreferred:\nGeneral knowledge of automotive lot layouts and auction operations.\nKnowledge of local roads, hotels, airports, and restaurants as you could potentially shuttle customers around the immediate area of our auction lot.\nDrug Testing\nTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
