Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description\nJoin a team that helps drive the performance of one of the largest mobile vehicle inspection operations in the country.\nThe Data Analyst II supports Mobile Inspections by building and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and data analysis that help leaders understand operational performance and make informed decisions. This role partners with Operations, Quality Assurance, Dispatch, and other business teams to deliver timely reporting, analyze performance trends, and support day-to-day business needs.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, working with data, and turning information into clear, easy-to-understand reporting. This position works closely with senior analytical resources and Operations leadership to support reporting, dashboard development, and analytical requests that help guide the business.\nWhy this role matter? Define business questions. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify data sources and queries. Tidy, clean and transform data. Analyze data and identify trends. Visualize data. Draw conclusions, present insights and tell compelling stories.\nSupport data science: Help data-science and data-engineering teams perform and implement complex analyses. Select key problems to solve. Define goals. Source data. Share domain knowledge. Identify data features. Measure outcomes. Tune performance.\nBuild data processes: Lead projects to build better data processes. Understand input data, output data and transformations required to bridge the two. Work with data suppliers. Design, build and manage processes to deliver required data. Ensure data quality. Help manage projects to build new, and to improve existing, data pipelines. Drive deliverables. Measure KPI. Report progress to leadership.\nSupport product management: Understand opportunities and competition around service, pricing and repair data. Interview customers and stakeholders. Research new features and sources of product differentiation. Be the liaison between technology and product strategy. Define KPI. Be technology’s go-to person for questions related to Operational Data, integration with other systems. \nInformation AnalysisPerforms data analysis and validation. \nTranslates data into meaningful insights.\nDevelops reports and data visualizations to present insights in the most effective way to enable decision making.\nMonitors and analyzes key metrics and executes recurring analyses and reporting.\nMines and interprets data, monitors and analyzes key metrics and interprets performance and provides insight into the data and metrics generated.\nHandles data preparation and data analysis portions of various projects.\nWrites, maintains and/or updates queries to develop analyses in response to queries from internal customers.\nEnsures accuracy of results produced as a result of data analysis.\nInformation Management \nCoordinates data feeds and updates and sources additional data required for analysis.\nDetermines the value of new internal and external data sources, merges disparate data sets, ingests data, cleans and munges data, derives metrics, and transforms the data into usable information.\nAssists development teams in creating and maintaining data reporting models.\nAssists in the development and implementation of data monitoring and measurement systems. \nDevelops monitoring mechanisms for quality and data management purposes.\nBuilds and validates new derived metrics and associated business rules.\nEnsures the quality of specific data stores for collection, tracking and reporting of research data.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\nRequired Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills\nApplicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.\nBS/BA Degree in related discipline plus 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in related field required. \n2+ years experience building and maintaining reporting and dashboards\n2+ years’ experience troubleshooting or supporting web-based applications\n2+ years’ experience with databases and database query tools (Snowflake)\nExperience with the following technology areas: SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, AWS\n2+ years of performing analysis and building data processes\nStrong experience with reporting tools (PowerBI required)\nWorking experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis \nWorking experience working with SQL (Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2)\nWorking experience working with large scale datasets\nWorking experience presenting data to leadership for decision making\nKnowledge of data extrapolation, interpretation and chart compilation\nWorking experience with SQL and strong Stored Procedures \nPower user of the MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, for doing business analysis.\nPassion for analysis and focus on business results.
