Supported by a 24/7 in-house call center, Cox Fleet provides maintenance scheduled and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.\nCox Fleet is currently hiring a CDL A Driver - Vehicle Porter to join our Shop Team to support the future growth of the Company.\nDuties:\nShuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between our maintenance shop and our customers in the surrounding area - behome every evening.\nPick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.\nProvide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers’ expectations.\nContributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.\nMaintains a safe and compliant working environment.\nAttend management meetings when requested.\nOther duties as assigned to meet business requirements.\nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.\nA valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).\nBetween 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.\nThe ability to lift to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.\nThe ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system.\nExperience in positions demonstrates the ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.\nFamiliarity with the local geography.\nThis position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.\nA current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical.
